Pose study

Drawing Shiro’s stance.

I forgot to turn on the time-lapse, so here’s the sheet with all my attempts at Shiro’s stance.

Hands on knees. Sounds easy. In the reference, the guy’s arms were straight and his head was level with his hips. I kept redrawing Shiro trying to make that work. You can see the one I crossed out on the left and my next attempt in blue.

I looked up more photos. Then I got up and tried it myself. Sure enough, my head was level with my hips and my arms were straight. Maybe I just drew his torso too short.
